As a registered nurse you will be responsible for maintaining high standards of care by undertaking accurate assessment and planning of care, delivery, and ongoing evaluation of care plans, together with appropriate hand-over, to ensure all residents’ needs are continuously met.
Responsible for the effective deployment and supervision of staff within the care team, ensuring all tasks are completed during the period of duty and clients receive required care.
Undertake nursing tasks that will include distribution of medication, dressings, catheterisation, tube feeding and management of chronic medical conditions.
Liaise with health and social care professionals involved in the wellbeing of individual residents to maintain a holistic approach to their care.
Provide advice to families of clients and GPs of any changes in condition, which gives rise to concern and keeps them informed and involved in choices for ongoing care.
Develop and maintain positive working relationships with all clients, families, visitors and colleague.
What you will need to succeed
In order to be successful, you should be passionate about providing a high level of care, dedicated to your role as a Registered Nurse and have the ability to offer kindness and compassion.
A minimum of 6 months experience within a similar healthcare setting in the last 2 years (Evantu Care must gain references to cover this experience).
Be flexible to travel – driving licence and own transport is preferable to get to shifts but is not a necessity.
Be flexible in your availability – communicate clearly what days / shifts you can work.
Experience with providing nursing care to adults or children.
Valid DBS and already signed up to the DBS update service is a great advantage.
Hold a current NMC pin.
